How To Jailbreak and Unlock Iphone 3G with 3.0 3.0.1 OS with Windows

*** If you jailbreak the 3.0.1 os you can follow instructions,restore using this 3.0.1 iPhone firmware instead of the 3.0 one and Continue with the instructions as described

Instructions:

1-Create a folder on your desktop rename it to Pwnage

2-Download RedSn0w from here and place it into the Pwnage folder

3-download the latest 3.0 firmware from here place it in the same folder

4-unzip the RedSn0w zip file to Pwnage folder

5-Connect your iPhone to the computer and run iTunes.

6-Select your iPhone from the list of devices

7-hold down shift and click the Restore button


8-search Pwnage folder on and select the ipsw file


9-Click the Open button

10-wail untill iTunes finished updating your iPhone


11-Run redsnw0w.exe from the Pwnage folder


12-click the Browse button


13-Select ipsw file placed in the Pwnage folder then click Open


14-click Next button

15-select Cydia and click Next button

16-connect your iPhone to the computer and make sure its OFF then click Next button

17-RedSn0w will now guide you to get into DFU mode.

18-Hold down Home button and Power button for 10 seconds.

19-Release Power button and continue holding Home button until RedSn0w detects the device.

20-iPhone will now reboot

21-RedSn0w will then begin uploading

22-RedSn0w is done

23-Click Finish button.

24-It will be jailbroken with Cydia on the menu

25-Run Cydia from your menu

26-select Manage tab at the bottom of the screen

27-select the large Sources button

28-Press Edit button at the top right of the screen.

29-Press add button at the top left of the screen

30-Enter http://apt9.yellowsn0w.com/ as the source url and press Add Source button.


31-press the large Return to Cydia button.

32-Press Done button at the top right of the screen.

33-select apt9.yellowsn0w.com from the list of sources.

34-select yellowsn0w from the list of packages

35-Press Install button at the top right of the screen.

36-Press Confirm button at the top right of the screen.

37-After installation completes successfully press large Return to Cydia button.

38-press Home button then power off and power on your iPhone. by holding down the power button for 3 seconds then moving the power slider that appears to the right

39-Press the power button again to turn on the phone.


40-insert the SIM of your choice

and ENJOY
